The Birch Bay Polar Bear Dip 2026 is making a splash on January 1, 2026, and this year, we’re going BIG—Guinness World Record BIG!

Whether you’re a seasoned dipper or a first-time plunger, this is your chance to kick off the new year with a frosty bang and a story you’ll be telling for decades. Registration is officially OPEN, so grab your friends, your family, and maybe a pair of fuzzy socks (for after, of course), and join us for the coolest event of the year. Let’s make waves, break records, and start 2026 with a splash!

Birch Bay offers a wide variety of activities, events and restaurants to enjoy.

Stroll along the beach, swim in the warm bay waters, build sandcastles, or go clam or crabbing. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can rent a Surrey bike for four or experience some of the best skiing in the Northwest. While you play golf, your kids can enjoy the local waterslides. Various dining choices cater to all tastes just around the corner. And, if shopping is your thing, there are plenty of places to shop until you drop.
